Already in 2004 Inbev started with the mission to have a common and fully integrated way of supply chain planning that would enable Inbev to optimally balance demand with supply. APO was chosen and still is the preferred system to support the ‘AB-Inbev way of planning’. This planning process is characterized by a high degree of automatisation and an emphasis on costs. This is released by the use of the SNP optimiser engine.
